De belangrijke kenmerken van motorolie met de aanduiding VW 504.00
In 2012 is VW 504.00-motorolie op de markt voor smeermiddelen gebracht. Deze hebben betere werking dan smeermiddelen met de aanduiding VW 503.00 of VW 503.0. Het SAPS-gehalte is nog geen 1,5% en de viscositeit bij hoge temperaturen is meer dan 3,5 mPa·s.
- Op grond van deze aanduiding wordt aangegeven dat de motorolie voldoet aan de speciale voorwaarden van de Volkswagen Group. Zo kunnen ze met name gebruikt worden voor de Škoda Karoq, Volkswagen Tiguan, Audi TT, Volkswagen Scirocco, Seat Ibiza en nog een aantal andere modellen van de producent.
- VW 504.00-motorolie is geschikt voor vrijwel alle moderne benzinemotoren die door de Volkswagen Group worden gemaakt, onder andere voor de V6, V8, R3, R4, R5, VR5, VR6, W8 en W12, maar ook voor de motoren met langere service-intervallen.
- Met deze producten is de motor maximaal tegen de vorming van oliekorst beschermd, wordt roetvorming tegengegaan, zijn de onderdelen van de motor doeltreffend tegen slijtage beschermd en in hoge mate resistent tegen veroudering.
- De smeermiddelen met deze aanduiding zijn uitstekend geschikt voor motoren met langere intervallen voor het verversen van de olie. Ze vervullen hun taak op doeltreffende wijze gedurende meer dan 30.000 kilometer.
- VW 504.00-motorolie kent een viscositeit van 5W-30 of 0W-30.
- Tot deze smeermiddelen behoren onder andere Castrol EDGE LL, Elf Evolution LLX en Total Quartz INEO Long Life.
