Liqui Moly-motorolie wordt gemaakt door de Duitse firma met dezelfde naam, die in 1918 opgegaan is in de Würth Groep. De oorsprong van de firma gaat terug tot 1957, het jaar waarin de Duitse ondernemer Hans Henle met zijn eigen onderneming een patent voor het vervaardigen van toevoegingsmiddelen op basis van molybdeen-disulfide verwierf. De producten van de firma maken deel uit van het topsegment. De producten worden in meer dan 120 landen aan de man gebracht. De lezers van de gerenommeerde tijdschriften Auto Motor und Sport en AUTO Zeitung hebben Liqui Moly in 2011 en 2012 uitgeroepen tot het allerbeste merk in de categorie van de smeermiddelen.
De verschillende soorten Liqui Moly-motoroliën
In de catalogus van dit merk vindt u minerale, synthetische en halfsynthetische smeermiddelen van allerlei viscositeiten en klassen. Onderstaande collecties zijn het populairst:
- Leichtlauf. Deze olie wordt met behulp van moderne technologieën zoals hydrokraken geproduceerd. Ze bezitten slijtage-tegenwerkende werking en zorgen ervoor dat de motor al tijdens de eerste paar seconden nadat hij is gestart, gesmeerd wordt.
- MoS2 Leichtlauf. Het betreft een collectie met een toevoeging van het merk dat is gebaseerd op molybdeendisulfide. Dit smeermiddel biedt de componenten van de motor bescherming tegen schuring en slijtage. Ze lenen zich uitstekend voor het inrijden van nieuwe of gereviseerde motoren, alsook voor automotoren met hoge kilometerstanden.
- Molygen. Hierin zit een aantal Molygen-toevoegingen die zijn gebaseerd op de vooruitstrevende Molecular Friction Control-technologie. Hierbij wordt het oppervlak van de motoronderdelen gelegeerd met ionen van molybdeen en wolfraam. Hiermee wordt niet alleen slijtage van de motor tegengegaan, maar wordt ook het verbruik zo laag mogelijk gehouden. Deze olie gaat langer mee. Ze kunnen worden toegepast bij intensief gebruikte motoren en voertuigen waarmee onder extreme omstandigheden wordt gereden.
- Optimal. Deze soort is tegen een voordelige prijs verkrijgbaar. Deze olie draagt bij aan een goede smering onder alle omstandigheden en beschikt over een uitstekende reinigende werking.
- Top Tec. Het gaat hier om een collectie synthetische smeermiddelen die zeer goed bestand zijn tegen oxidatie. Ze zijn geschikt voor voertuigen die zowel voorzien zijn van een katalysator als van roetfilters.
- High Tech. Ze zijn bestemd voor tuning en de motorsport. Dankzij deze olie kan de gebruiksduur van de motor aanmerkelijk worden verlengd. De olie is uitermate geschikt voor motoren met meerdere kleppen die zijn uitgevoerd met een turbo en tussenkoelers. Ze kennen lange intervallen voor het verversen van de olie.
